Failte - Welcome

Welcome to Peace Zone Ireland - We hope you enjoy your visit - you may now access the full menu.

We are seeking like-minded people to help us build this new organisation from scratch into a serious international humanitarian-based voluntary civilan peace keeping organisation - the rise of war conflict which naturally follows from resource and space limitations - arising from unprecedented population growth, advancing development albeit (to living conditions for all) and associated climate change issues - requires that we develop and refine new ways to deploy significantly large new peace keeping operations - to make peace safe where it can exist or come about - civilian voluntarism is possibly the only way of achieving such an unpredented increase in peace-keeping capacity - we seek to advance this possibility into reality.

If you think that you can become seriously engaged in the advancement of this mission, as an active volunteer, please email us immediately - we need your help - click here now - thanks.

Peace One Day

In 1999, preoccupied with questions about the fundamental nature of humanity and the most pressing issues of our time, filmmaker Jeremy Gilley launched Peace One Day and set out to find a starting point for peace. He had a mission: to document his efforts to establish the first ever annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence with a fixed calendar date.

Renewable Energy

Charleville Castle is now leading the Micro Electricity Generation Association towards full ahead development throughout Ireland in 2009. Energy is key to global sustainability. Our capacity to harness natural renewable energy must become as commonplace as our capacity to build a basic house. The energy issue has been at the heart of famine and war. It is crucial for peace and the betterment of life on earth that we make this a top priority.
